Medical Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Support the provider during examinations and procedures.

• Gather and document vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.

• Prepare and administer medications as instructed by a provider.

• Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.

• Maintain precise patient records while ensuring confidentiality.

• Assist with patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance documentation, and billing activities.

• Support providers during women's health and maternal care appointments, including exams, screenings, and hands-on assistance.

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are thoroughly sanitized.

• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations in accordance with Missouri state law.

• Participate in community outreach initiatives to enhance community engagement with the mobile clinic program.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software.

• BLS Certification is mandatory.

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is required.

• Awareness of community health needs, particularly in underserved populations.

• Willingness to undergo training and provide backup driving support for the mobile clinic.

• Proven strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.

• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR software.

• Capability to lift and carry materials weighing over 15 lbs throughout the day.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English or other languages) is preferred.
