Medical Assessment and Content Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and modify both existing and newly created questions, as well as topic summaries, to align with specific product standards, ensuring adherence to educational value, readability, and inclusive language principles.

• Verify that assessment items and topic summaries are precise, clinically relevant, and appropriately scoped for the Step 1 and Step 2 examinations.

• Collaborate with the medical illustration team to generate or gather images and figures that emphasize key medical concepts or disease processes.

• Participate in team meetings as necessary and maintain regular check-ins with the writing team.

• Identify and undertake additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Terminal medical degree, either MD or DO. (Required).

• Successful completion of the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 examinations (Required).

• Board certification in a US-approved medical or surgical specialty, or completion of at least two years of ACGME-accredited residency training. (Required).

• Previous experience in medical question writing is advantageous.

• Experience in formal medical education is beneficial.

• Familiarity with AI-driven workflows is a plus.

• Must be available to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week for asynchronous work.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and copy-editing abilities with a strong attention to detail.
