This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Evaluate and modify both existing and newly created questions, as well as topic summaries, to align with specific product standards, ensuring adherence to educational value, readability, and inclusive language principles.
β’ Verify that assessment items and topic summaries are precise, clinically relevant, and appropriately scoped for the Step 1 and Step 2 examinations.
β’ Collaborate with the medical illustration team to generate or gather images and figures that emphasize key medical concepts or disease processes.
β’ Participate in team meetings as necessary and maintain regular check-ins with the writing team.
β’ Identify and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
β’ Terminal medical degree, either MD or DO. (Required).
β’ Successful completion of the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 examinations (Required).
β’ Board certification in a US-approved medical or surgical specialty, or completion of at least two years of ACGME-accredited residency training. (Required).
β’ Previous experience in medical question writing is advantageous.
β’ Experience in formal medical education is beneficial.
β’ Familiarity with AI-driven workflows is a plus.
β’ Must be available to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week for asynchronous work.
β’ Exceptional writing, editing, and copy-editing abilities with a strong attention to detail.
β’ Dedication to the organizational mission of transforming medical education to better support educators and learners.
β’ This is a fully remote, contract-based position.
