Mechanisms Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and engineer mechanical systems and mechanisms, including conducting analyses and trade studies to enhance performance, efficiency, and manufacturability.

• Carry out detailed engineering design tasks in line with established standards, procedures, and program specifications.

• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate system integration, assembly, and testing processes.

• Work with external vendors by setting requirements, reviewing designs, and monitoring development progress.

• Generate and maintain mechanical documentation, encompassing requirements, drawings, interface definitions, and testing procedures.

• Specify and validate mechanical interfaces among subsystems and components.

• Assist in qualification testing (e.g., vibration, thermal, environmental) and analyze results.

• Diagnose hardware issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and apply corrective measures.

• Share technical insights and design updates during reviews with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Recognize and apply process enhancements, new technologies, or innovative design strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, ideally involving complex systems or hardware development.

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).

• Additional expertise in aerospace, space systems, or other high-performance settings (preferred).

• Understanding of multidisciplinary systems that include electrical or software components (preferred).

• Experience in supporting hardware throughout the entire lifecycle (from design to testing and delivery) (preferred).
