Building Science Project Engineer, Property Condition Assessments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Perform evaluations of buildings to assess the status of building systems, offer suggestions for immediate repairs, and utilize observations along with industry standards to identify future building system replacements.

• Carry out necessary site investigations, compile and organize data, and conduct project research (historical, regulatory, etc.).

• Author technical reports and prepare high-quality supporting documents (maps, appendices, etc.).

• Organize, schedule, and monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure that project progress remains on track, effectively communicating updates and any arising issues to the Project Manager and client.

• Offer sound recommendations and solutions to the Project Manager and client, taking into account the assessment's potential influence on the transaction process.

• Coordinate and address requests for adjustments in project scope.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Architecture or a related Engineering Field (Civil, Mechanical, etc.).

• Over 5 years of experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction/cost estimating.

• More than 3 years of experience conducting property inspections.

• At least 2 years of experience performing similar work for financial institutions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time.

• Capacity to build strong relationships within a team environment.

• Familiarity with the fundamental principles of civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering, including the construction and maintenance of structures and systems.

• Understanding of building component life cycles, system condition assessments, and replacement costs.

• Demonstrated abilities in observation, deduction, and reasoning.
