Mechanical Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Efficiently operate both primary and secondary testing equipment.

• Identify and resolve problems related to mechanical equipment, piping, and flow systems.

• Manage plant assets for clients, which include pumps, submersible mixers, motors, SCADA, heat exchangers, gas storage, sensors, valves, and safety systems.

• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems such as de-packaging equipment, solid feeders, conveyors, heating systems, valves, and more.

• Provide both scheduled and on-demand maintenance for a range of mechanical equipment.

• Implement strategies to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and performance, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in a mechanical engineering field.

• A minimum of three years of experience in a mechanical service or maintenance position.

• A valid UK driving licence.

• Strong expertise in mechanical engineering.

• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• A positive attitude and a dedication to accomplishing tasks correctly on the first attempt.

• A comprehensive understanding of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), including Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

• Proficient in using computers with effective communication skills through email and MS Office.

• Ability to maintain site commissioning records in an organized fashion.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Desirable Extras: Experience with biogas/anaerobic digestion (AD) plants. Background in mechanical and electrical/process plant service and maintenance. Experience as a mechanical fitter. Proficiency in PE pipework and electro fusion. PASMA certification. CompEx Mechanical (Ex11) qualification. CSCS trade card. Welding experience.
