This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Create comprehensive 2D AutoCAD drawings for mechanical services, encompassing air conditioning, ventilation, exhaust systems, plant rooms, and ductwork configurations.
• Develop drawings for concept design, design evolution, and tender documentation phases.
• Generate mechanical layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, and detailed drawings following engineering guidance.
• Modify and update drawings based on design alterations, mark-ups, and feedback from coordination efforts.
• Ensure that drawings adhere to drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
• Offer drafting assistance to mechanical engineers throughout the design and coordination stages.
• Aid engineers in creating design documentation packages and tender drawings.
• Transform design sketches, engineering calculations, and mark-ups into precise and clear drawings.
• Compile equipment schedules, legends, and drawing registers.
• Facilitate drawing coordination across architectural, structural, electrical, and hydraulic services.
• Conduct internal drafting reviews to ensure accuracy, coordination, and readiness for issues.
• Maintain consistency in documentation across the drawing set and ensure alignment with project standards.
• Recognize potential design or coordination challenges and escalate them to engineers as needed.
• At least 5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting within the building services and mechanical HVAC engineering design sector.
• Significant proficiency in 2D AutoCAD drafting.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Revit or BIM coordination.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services systems, including ductwork, plant layouts, ventilation systems, and equipment coordination.
• Capability to read and interpret engineering mark-ups, sketches, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings.
• Proficient in managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Experience in engineering consultancies or mechanical contracting environments.
• Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards for mechanical services, such as AS1668.
• Experience in preparing tender and construction documentation.
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and coordination.
• Ability to work independently while supporting engineers and project teams.
