This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee projects that involve engineers, designers, controls specialists, and scheduling professionals for modifications in nuclear power plants.
• Facilitate coordination between internal and external departments throughout the lifecycle of project execution.
• Implement projects and manage necessary resources across all disciplines.
• Take ownership of project performance, encompassing safety, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and client experience.
• Lead and direct project teams; ensure accountability; mentor and coach team members.
• Foster positive working relationships with client task engineers and stakeholders.
• Spearhead initiatives to complete projects safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
• Assist in reporting key performance indicators related to schedule, budget, and dashboard metrics.
• Identify and manage construction risks.
• Detect, monitor, and manage project changes.
• Communicate and consult with stakeholders and supervisors effectively.
• Draft clear and concise technical reports and studies that align with client requirements and Sargent & Lundy standards.
• Analyze challenges and propose solutions to enhance outcomes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, including coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Over 10 years of experience in a technical field (engineering, construction, planning, etc.).
• At least 5 years of experience acting as a firm/client liaison in a support or leadership capacity.
• Proficiency in multitasking and managing multiple competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience in schedule development and management.
• Competence in budget management.
• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.; the employer does not sponsor employees for U.S. work authorization.
• A degree in Construction Management or Management/Business is preferable but not mandatory.
• Engineering design experience is advantageous.
• PMP Certification is a valuable asset.
• An MBA is considered a plus.
