
Mechanical Engineer – Special Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Create and execute mechanical and/or materials engineering solutions from initial concept through to product launch, with a strong emphasis on reliability in high-stress conditions (high humidity, temperature extremes, corrosive environments, VOCs, etc.).
• Design, develop, test, and document systems, subsystems, and components in alignment with overall product architecture, project objectives, and industry standards.
• Utilize the latest technologies, research insights, and design principles to deliver engineering solutions.
• Convert customer, market, and competitive needs into effective engineering designs using an outside-in perspective.
• Collaborate with global competence communities and research organizations to remain at the cutting edge of technical innovation and advancements.
• Define specifications, and design and validate (sub)systems and components based on product criteria.
• Promote the creation and protection of intellectual property (patents, trade secrets, copyrights).
• Prepare, update, and sustain development reports and project outputs.
• Offer coaching and mentoring to facilitate knowledge sharing and skill enhancement within the team.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant technical discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing industrial products or equipment for heavy applications in challenging environments, preferably within the Chemical, Petrochemical, Metallurgy, or Marine sectors.
• Strong proficiency in materials selection for chemical corrosion resistance (metals, plastics, seals, protective coatings).
• Practical experience with risk assessment and reliability design for extreme operating conditions.
• Experience with ATEX-certified products is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey knowledge effectively.
• Proficient in English (both spoken and written).
