Mechanical Engineer, SolidWorks – Part-Time Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Create production-ready drawings and assemblies.

• Develop detailed 2D drawings derived from 3D SolidWorks models.

• Construct and oversee basic assemblies.

• Implement GD&T according to ASME Y14.5 to guarantee manufacturability and clear design intent.

• Work collaboratively with the team to review and modify designs as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in SolidWorks, including part modeling, assemblies, and drawings.

• Strong understanding of GD&T principles.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

• A portfolio of relevant work must be submitted with the application.

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

• Candidates located anywhere in the U.S. must operate through their own LLC or business entity.

• Candidates not utilizing an LLC must reside in Massachusetts.

• Preferred: Experience with FEA, including SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools.

• Preferred: Proficiency in SolidWorks surfacing.

• Preferred: Operating through your own LLC or business entity.
