Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits, benchmarking, and documentation of current facilities and MEP systems.

• Assess energy consumption and carbon emissions in comparison to similar sites.

• Analyze condition drawings and obtain insights on plant operations from facility personnel.

• Retro-commission existing mechanical systems, including central plants, air handling units, terminal equipment, and energy management systems.

• Create multi-phase, ROI-focused Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs).

• Generate comprehensive reports detailing facility conditions, recommendations, potential cost savings, and ROI.

• Deliver presentations of findings directly to clients.

• Execute utility technical-assistance studies to obtain efficiency incentives.

• Draft scope narratives, EMS points lists, and operational sequences.

• Facilitate construction meetings and oversee the commissioning of new systems and controls.

• Contribute to the development of Oakwell's sustainable MEP standards and AI tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline).

• 5–7 years of relevant experience.

• Possession of a Professional Engineering license or active progress toward obtaining one.

• Willingness to travel as necessary (approximately 20%).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

• Client-facing experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with Autodesk Revit and eQUEST is advantageous.

• Enthusiasm for developing AI/ML tools that enhance engineering workflows is a plus.
