This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Assist in the design activities related to system and mechanical engineering for intricate industrial and nuclear projects.

β€’ Prepare and evaluate engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, specifications, calculations (including pipe stress, hydraulic, safety valve sizing, and ventilation sizing), and equipment layouts.

β€’ Create piping and utility system designs that bolster facility infrastructure, process support systems, and overall operations.

β€’ Collaborate with process, structural, electrical, and instrumentation & control engineering teams.

β€’ Conduct field walkdowns for piping and mechanical systems and support design validation efforts.

β€’ Aid in the evaluation of piping systems, selection of equipment, and implementation of design changes.

β€’ Provide support for project planning, procurement, construction, startup, testing, and commissioning activities as necessary.

β€’ Engage in design reviews and resolve technical challenges.

β€’ Communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams as required.

β€’ Ensure that designs adhere to relevant industry codes, standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.

β€’ Over 9 years of pertinent experience.

β€’ Background in supporting piping and mechanical system design for industrial, manufacturing, energy, chemical, or nuclear facilities.

β€’ Familiarity with engineering drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, and mechanical design documentation.

β€’ Understanding of applicable industry codes and standards.

β€’ Experience with DOE, NNSA, Naval Reactors, or commercial nuclear projects is preferred.

β€’ Proficiency in 3D modeling or CAD tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, SolidWorks, CREO, or similar software is preferred.

β€’ Experience with analytical software is preferred (e.g., pipe stress analysis, hydraulic analysis, MathCAD, MatLab, etc.).

β€’ US Citizenship is required.

β€’ Must possess the capability to obtain a security clearance.

β€’ PE License is preferred.
