Mechanical Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop precise 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings utilizing SolidWorks.

• Create fabrication-ready shop drawings, assemblies, and BOMs for architectural metalwork projects.

• Convert architectural and engineering plans into workable fabrication details.

• Design and detail components using mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

• Utilize practical fabrication knowledge in cutting, folding, welding, assembly, and installation requirements.

• Identify and address design conflicts, dimensional problems, and constructability risks prior to production.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, fabrication teams, and site teams to ensure technical precision and buildability.

• Maintain organized and accurate project documentation.

• Assist projects during fabrication and installation, helping to resolve issues as needed.

• Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SolidWorks.

• Background in fabrication, sheet metal, construction, architectural metalwork, or comparable practical design settings.

• Solid understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.

• Keen attention to detail with the ability to spot issues before they reach production.

• Capability to work with incomplete or changing information and proactively tackle problems.

• Practical mindset with an emphasis on buildability and real-world outcomes.

• Effective communication and coordination skills across design, production, and project teams.

• Dependable, organized, and takes ownership of responsibilities.

• **Preferred Qualifications:**

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.

• Experience in producing fabrication/shop drawings for custom metalwork or construction projects.

• Familiarity with architectural or construction documentation.
