This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Convert intricate media needs into scalable cloud and hybrid architectures, crafting customized solutions that align with the client's business and technical landscapes.
• Assist throughout the entire sales process by developing technical proposals/RFP responses, conducting whitespace analyses and business planning, and steering deal strategy, qualification, and forecasting.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by fostering long-term client relationships, leading in-depth discussions, articulating value propositions, and effectively addressing technical objections.
• Keep abreast of industry and market trends to enhance GTM strategies, bolster competitive positioning, and uphold leadership in M&E workloads.
• Produce thought leadership content (case studies, white papers, media articles) and contribute to corporate perspectives through effective communication and storytelling.
• Provide hands-on product demonstrations and proof-of-concept implementations to validate solutions and instill customer confidence.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% within the Southwestern United States.
• 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, with 3–5 years specifically focused on cloud, unstructured data, and file/object storage technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of M&E applications, workflows, and architectures, particularly in high-performance rendering and content preservation.
• Solid technical background in cloud platforms, end-user computing, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix/BSD), along with familiarity with SMB, NFS, and S3 protocols.
• Experience in designing solutions across edge, datacenter, and cloud environments, including hybrid storage scenarios.
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships, conduct technical discovery, and present compelling, value-driven solutions that promote growth.
• Knowledge of competitive storage technologies (e.g., NetApp, Dell, PowerScale, VAST Data, Pure Storage, Ceph, Lustre, Scality, Weka).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills, including whiteboarding, demonstrations, and handling objections for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant industry certifications (AWS, Azure, storage) are preferred.
