MDE Training Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold the yearly Training Plan.

• Ensure all examiners fulfill the necessary General and Specialty Certification Courses in VBA MDE TRAIN prior to conducting evaluations.

• Oversee examiner recertification processes every 5 years and after triggers from 12 months of inactivity.

• Collaborate with the MDEO Train mailbox and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to confirm new examiner training completion before scheduling.

• Prevent training-related exclusions as outlined in Attachment AT and address deficiency notifications within a 15-day timeframe.

• Ensure that all providers, support staff, and subcontractors complete the annual HIPAA and Privacy Act training.

• Contribute training metrics to Monthly Status Reports and provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.

• Assist with Government training audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Health Sciences, Public Health, or a related discipline.

• At least 10 years of experience in training leadership, including over 5 years in a director-level position.

• Proven experience in managing clinician or examiner training programs within a healthcare or federal contracting context.

• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS); experience with VBA MDE TRAIN is highly preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.

• Capability to obtain a VA Background Investigation.

• Experience with VA MDE, C&P, or DBQ program is preferred.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• CPLP, CPTM, or ATD Master Trainer credentials are preferred.

• Previous leadership in VA/VHA/DoD training programs is preferred.

• Understanding of PACT Act, Camp Lejeune, Gulf War, and airborne hazards training requirements is preferred.
