Math Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct tutoring sessions utilizing Amplify’s structured and research-driven curriculum.

• Begin with lessons focused on literacy.

• Prepare instructional materials for every tutoring session.

• Work with students from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.

• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback.

• Engage in professional development and learning opportunities.

• Assist students in achieving their reading objectives.

• Maintain regular tutoring schedules for designated student groups.

• Log in 15 minutes early before sessions.

• Commit to tutoring groups for an estimated 15 weeks.

• Utilize Amplify’s platforms and resources.

• Potentially acquire additional endorsements and engage in special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least a High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Proficient in spoken English.

• Comfortable and highly proficient with technology.

• Available for a minimum of 90 minutes each day, three weekdays a week, during consistent school hours.

• Must reside physically within the 50 states of the United States.

• Must meet U.S. employment eligibility standards.

• Must have access to a personal laptop or desktop computer equipped with a webcam and microphone.

• Must have access to headphones.

• Use of Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smartphones is not permitted.

• Strong internet connectivity is required.

• Enjoy working with students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.

• Interest in delivering lessons based on the Amplify Curriculum.

• Willingness to accept and implement ongoing coaching and feedback.

• Willingness to engage in professional development and learning opportunities.

• Ability to pass fingerprint-based state/FBI background checks prior to working with students.

• Ability to complete paid initial training within two weeks of the start date.

• Must be available for at least 9 hours weekly, spread over 3 weekdays at consistent times.

• Ability to conduct a one-way video interview and teaching demonstration.

• Ability to travel to Amplify headquarters in New York for in-person onboarding or as needed.
