Math Interventionist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual math intervention sessions for small groups and individual students.

• Implement interventions that emphasize number sense, operations, fractions, ratios, problem-solving, and other critical math competencies.

• Utilize diagnostic assessments and data to determine the learning requirements of students.

• Create personalized goals and engage in continuous progress monitoring.

• Gather and evaluate student performance data to monitor growth and modify instruction accordingly.

• Keep precise records of intervention sessions, objectives, and results.

• Utilize digital tools and resources to captivate students and strengthen their skills.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education personnel, and administrators to synchronize intervention strategies with core instruction.

• Take part in data meetings and GLTs to review student performance and decide on subsequent steps.

• Communicate with families regarding student progress and offer resources for ongoing support at home.

• Provide progress updates to administrators.

• Participate in schoolwide math achievement initiatives.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

• Must have the ability to work from a home office.

• Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device.

• Must possess an email address for two-step authentication.

• Experience or capability to deliver focused, research-based math interventions.

• Understanding of foundational math skills and grade-level concepts, including number sense, operations, fractions, ratios, and problem-solving.

• Ability to employ diagnostic assessments such as Renaissance Star Math and curriculum-based measures.

• Capability to formulate individualized goals and track student progress.

• Proficiency in collecting and analyzing student performance data.

• Ability to leverage digital tools and resources such as IXL, online manipulatives, and interactive whiteboards.

• Skill in collaborating with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families.
