Math Contest Teaching Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• AoPS Online provides challenging, high-quality mathematics and STEM courses for middle and high school students that enhance and broaden their scientific reasoning.

• Offering mentoring feedback to students who are preparing for math competitions.

• Responding to inquiries, providing hints, and offering encouragement in real-time during live text-based classes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

• A strong understanding of mathematics is essential; knowledge in physics, Python, or chemistry is an advantage.

• Proficient English writing and typing skills are required.

• Ability to think quickly in a dynamic learning environment.

• Must be pursuing or have completed a degree in a STEM discipline; a completed degree is preferred.

• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is necessary.

• Experience with math competitions (such as MAA AMC 10/12, AIME, USA(J)MO) is mandatory; additional competition experience (like F=ma, USAPhO, USACO, USNCO, etc.) is a plus.
