Maternal Fetal Medicine Professional Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Conducts complex professional coding independently across various specialties and environments.

• Accurately code intricate professional encounters and procedures, ensuring proper sequencing, modifiers, E/M level selection, and adherence to documentation standards.

• Address coding-related edits and denials by determining root causes, facilitating documentation clarifications, and assisting with rebilling actions as necessary.

• Offer real-time support to colleagues on standard coding scenarios; encourage consistency through the sharing of best practices.

• Engage in internal quality review initiatives and execute educational or corrective measures based on the findings.

• Utilize analytical problem-solving skills to prevent denials and edits; identify opportunities for documentation enhancements and aid in compliant query workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in physician/provider coding is required.

• CPC or CCS-P certification is necessary.
