Materials Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the distribution and tracking of materials, components, and consumables at the site.

• Collaborate closely with supervisors, planners, and trade personnel to ensure the availability of materials.

• Confirm material deliveries, including quantities and documentation, upon receipt.

• Monitor material inventories and inform relevant parties about shortages or discrepancies.

• Organize, stage, and issue materials to facilitate daily work operations.

• Keep precise records of material tracking and inventory documentation.

• Employ CMMS systems and project tracking tools to oversee material status.

• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and procurement teams regarding material needs.

• Perform inventory counts and material audits as necessary.

• Ensure that materials are stored, handled, and preserved per site specifications.

• Maintain a safe, tidy, and organized work environment.

• Engage in safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a Material Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, Inventory Coordinator, or in a similar position.

• Strong understanding of mechanical and welding materials, components, and consumables.

• Experience in large plant or industrial settings.

• Shutdown, turnaround, or maintenance experience is regarded as a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with CMMS systems like Maximo is considered beneficial.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

• Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

• Capability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
