This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee factory-level Material & Recipe Management functions
• Administer the lifecycles of recipes, ingredients, and specifications within SAP
• Track product compliance performance and KPIs, initiate corrective actions, and assist in meeting global compliance objectives
• Implement Compliance by Design activities for innovation, renovation, and ongoing business maintenance projects
• Conduct formulation development, recipe validation, technical acceptance, and creation of CAT specifications
• Review and update recipes based on trials and commercialization efforts
• Assess product performance and apply formulation updates as necessary
• Develop and maintain site-specific recipes, Bills of Material (BOMs), processing loss profiles, stability loss profiles, and raw material specifications
• Ensure raw material and product specifications are precise, up-to-date, and validated through qualification, testing, and supplier data
• Act as the factory's subject matter expert regarding recipe, ingredient, and product compliance
• Offer expertise on regulatory, nutritional, safety, and quality standards
• Assist in the implementation and continuous enhancement of MRM systems, tools, and processes
• Facilitate effective product scale-up, transfers, and lifecycle management
• Train and assist cross-functional teams on Formula1, SAP RM, CAT, DevEx, and related recipe management methodologies
• Collaborate with Global MRM, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Operations, CTAG, and other stakeholders on continuous improvement and harmonization initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Nutrition, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated industry such as food, pharmaceuticals, infant nutrition, supplements, or pet food
• Preferred experience in product development, formulation, recipe management, or technical compliance
• Familiarity with FDA food and/or drug regulations
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Awareness of HACCP
• Insight into relevant food safety and quality regulations
• Comprehension of ingredient and product development, formulation, and food manufacturing processes
• Preferred cross-functional and cross-market experience
• Proficient in SAP, formulation and specification management systems, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret technical data and execute appropriate actions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and right-first-time execution
• Capability to work independently while fostering collaborative relationships across functions
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus among teams
• Solid business acumen and awareness of commercial implications
