Material Master Data Migration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify and extract material master data from Microsoft Dynamics 365.

• Gather, cleanse, analyze, and interpret material master data for migration purposes.

• Convert D365 material data into the required format and structure for SAP S/4HANA.

• Validate material attributes, dependencies, and relationships.

• Evaluate the alignment of material master data with business and site operational needs.

• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality concerns.

• Review and validate material/SKU data prior to migration.

• Assist with mock-load reviews and evaluate migration outcomes.

• Conduct defect analysis and aid in defect triage and resolution.

• Investigate and clarify migration issues to business data owners and subject matter experts.

• Provide explanations regarding D365 fields and their corresponding SAP S/4HANA fields.

• Maintain Excel-based data migration templates and associated documentation.

• Generate migration readiness outputs and supporting documents.

• Offer business context and legacy-system expertise for a successful migration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Material Master Data and ERP data migration.

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).

• Familiarity with material master data, SKUs, and related attributes.

• Strong grasp of data extraction, cleansing, validation, and transformation processes.

• Experience in supporting ERP data migration or data conversion initiatives.

• Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA material master data.

• Experience in mapping or translating data between legacy ERP systems and SAP.

• Background in data quality management and defect analysis.

• Experience collaborating with business data owners and subject matter experts.

• Proficient Excel skills, including the management of large and complex data templates.

• Ability to comprehend technical data requirements and business processes.

• Desirable: prior experience in D365 to SAP S/4HANA migration.

• Desirable: knowledge of SAP Material Master or relevant S/4HANA data objects.

• Desirable: experience in mock loads, migration testing, and defect triage.

• Desirable: understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, or operations processes.

• Desirable: experience in large-scale ERP transformation programs.

• Desirable: background in complex or global organizations.
