This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a team of project and outage schedulers to provide services to the Projects/Outage Upgrade groups as a Center of Excellence (COE), spanning Generator and/or Steam Value Streams for Nuclear, Fossil, and Industrial sectors worldwide.
• Develop, manage, and continuously enhance the enterprise-level scheduling framework.
• Take ownership of and coordinate the integrated, capacity-constrained master schedule for Steam Services Upgrades, ensuring dependable start and finish dates across commercial, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, repairs, and field services.
• Guarantee timely access to GEV and supplier-delivered equipment while fulfilling customer commitments and adhering to segment-specific regulatory requirements.
• Actively engage in establishing scheduling standards as a member of the S&OE governance team.
• Ensure schedule performance is quantifiable, transparent, and predictive.
• Incorporate risk and probabilistic thinking into the scheduling process.
• Lead the scheduling team, including third-party services, and contribute to the development of a scheduling talent system, including competency frameworks (S&OE governance).
• Convert schedule data into business insights necessary for making informed decisions within the S&OE framework.
• Create and uphold the upgrades master schedule with all scheduled points aligned with contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with the resource owner to balance workload versus demonstrated capacity for essential resource pools.
• Identify scheduling risks and conflicts among concurrent projects in the portfolio and lead recovery planning, developing risk and scenario strategies for potential conflicts.
• Enforce scheduling discipline, time fences (frozen/slushy zones), and change governance within the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) process.
• Provide a single, reliable integrated upgrades schedule for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Integrate with existing Upgrades tools and relevant dashboards.
• Validate scheduling point variability and create/manage buffers.
• Offer clear visibility of equipment availability risks to the IMS and PMO.
• Operationalize the S&OE process and prepare formal pre-read materials and agendas for the upgrades S&OE executive weekly meetings.
• Define change classes (A/B/C) along with approval thresholds and the approvers within each time fence (frozen/slushy zones).
• Interface and manage linkages with S&OP and DM, including change approval mechanisms and demand/supply synchronization.
• Extensive experience in Master Scheduling.
• Educational qualifications equivalent to a master's degree from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma with relevant experience.
• Significant expertise as a Master Scheduler.
• Willingness to travel 20% domestically and internationally.
• Strong understanding of Master Scheduling, IMS, and cumulative lead-time concepts.
• Ability to develop and mentor teams and foster a high-performance team culture.
• Competence in making decisions under uncertainty and influencing key stakeholders.
• Experience in industry project management (e.g., heavy industry, automotive, aerospace, civil engineering).
• Capability to assess load versus capacity using demonstrated performance data.
• Expertise in scheduling, including resource planning and slot optimization.
• Experience collaborating with global functions (e.g., engineering, manufacturing).
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze large data sets, identify performance trends, and create data visualizations.
• Strong facilitation and decision-support abilities.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Comfortable working across US and global time zones.
