Master Level HIM Adj, Medical Coding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +16 more locations.

📋 Description

• Teach designated courses within the assigned program.

• Conduct bi-weekly live sessions through Zoom for each course.

• Maintain a flexible schedule for office hours and individual meetings.

• Offer timely information and feedback regarding quizzes, tests, assignments, projects, and academic performance.

• Engage in outreach efforts to boost participation among at-risk students.

• Keep accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.

• Submit final grades in accordance with university policies.

• Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

• Stay updated with advancements in the instructional subject area.

• Fulfill other responsibilities as outlined in the faculty job description, standard operating procedures, and university policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Medical Science, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Health Information Management, Coding, or Revenue Cycle is required.

• A coding certification is mandatory (CCS, CPC, CCS-P, or a similar medical coding certification).

• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred.

• Prior experience in online teaching is preferred.

• Capability to work in a virtual environment using various software applications simultaneously, including MS Office, Canvas, and Zoom.

• Candidates must reside in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Utah.
