Master DevOps Engineer, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with software architects and development teams to establish infrastructure requirements and design comprehensive platform solutions.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines utilizing Bitbucket to enhance software development, testing, and deployment workflows.

• Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, facilitating scalable and reproducible AWS infrastructure management.

• Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to assess new tools, technologies, and methodologies, evaluating their potential impact on the platform and operations.

• Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of systems, ensuring high availability in both production and development environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and applications, implementing effective solutions to enhance system stability.

• Integrate security best practices into the architecture and deployment processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

• Mentor team members on advanced DevOps practices and contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Engage directly with clients to comprehend their needs, prioritize and plan solutions, and manage expectations regarding project timelines and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on platform architecture and the design of scalable infrastructure solutions.

• Proven track record of leading and managing a team, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and develop team members.

• Proficient in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, with a focus on automation and efficiency.

• Strong scripting and automation expertise (Python, Bash, or similar), with the capacity to create scalable solutions and streamline operations.

• Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), including production-grade deployments.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS, with specialization in infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Comprehensive understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with relevant tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Experience in conducting PoCs and evaluating new tools and technologies to enhance infrastructure and operations.

• Security-oriented mindset with a history of implementing best practices for securing both cloud-based and on-premise environments.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts, collaborate effectively across teams, and engage with clients to manage project scopes and expectations.
