Marshallese VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Have a strong understanding of the specific vocabulary relevant to the interpreter's industry, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpretation process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Follow established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Report and communicate effectively with your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluency in the source language (English) and native proficiency in the target language "Marshallese".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Demonstrated high emotional intelligence and tolerance for various cultures.

• Exceptional communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
