This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the MarCom liaison for the Development and Mission teams, maintaining consistent communication to understand objectives, identify requirements, and oversee the fulfillment of requests from initiation to completion.
• Oversee and prioritize incoming project requests, track timelines, and ensure that work remains on schedule.
• Provide guidance to internal partners on best practices and processes for communications, ensuring brand consistency and effective channel strategy while serving as a resource.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of MarCom's complete channel mix, editorial calendar, and planning cycles to assist other teams in their timing and approach.
• Collect, develop, and produce content on behalf of partner departments, including narratives, program updates, and supplementary materials for newsletters, emails, and campaigns.
• Assist in writing and editing content for emails, event promotions, newsletters, and campaign materials — ensuring it is appropriate for the audience and aligns with brand voice and organizational messaging.
• Actively seek out opportunities to enhance content and processes to improve the experience of constituents and meet the needs of internal partners.
• Contribute to marketing and communications strategies that support departmental goals and align with the organization's overall strategy.
• Track channel metrics to evaluate performance and provide insights that guide future planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, demonstrating progressive responsibility over time.
• Experience and familiarity with nonprofit organizations is advantageous.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines — organized, dependable, and composed under pressure.
• Strong writing and editing capabilities across various formats.
• Effective relationship-builder who can collaborate across departments, gaining trust from colleagues at all levels.
• Resourceful and self-motivated — capable of identifying needs, determining solutions, and progressing without waiting for direction.
• Working knowledge of marketing channels such as email, web, and social media — and how they integrate within a communications plan.
• Comfortable with technology and content management systems for routine website updates; experience with email platforms and basic analytics tools is preferred.
