This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +21 more states.
• Create, assess, and refine comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns for Complexly’s shows, projects, and merchandise launches by utilizing performance data, industry trends, and financial insights.
• Generate innovative ideas aimed at converting casual fans into dedicated viewers and advocates of Complexly’s mission.
• Design and produce marketing materials, which include images, videos, and scripts.
• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing strategies align with company goals and the Development Team, all directed towards an annual audience revenue target.
• Examine audience data and conduct market analysis to pinpoint target demographics.
• Execute strategies aimed at boosting website traffic, enhancing audience engagement, and increasing YouTube viewership.
• Monitor and report on audience growth and key performance indicators related to affinity.
• Lead strategies that tailor and curate content for social media platforms, optimizing it for each specific channel.
• Partner with Creative and Content Strategy & Growth teams to ensure a consistent brand voice and image across Complexly’s online media.
• Recruit, supervise, train, and establish performance goals for social media, marketing, and audience relations personnel.
• Develop, oversee, and modify marketing budgets.
• Allocate resources for advertising efforts and promotional activities.
• Assess the return on investment for paid marketing initiatives and identify cost-effective opportunities.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Report directly to the Director of Development, Audience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing, social media strategy, or audience growth, ideally within a digital media or entertainment context is required.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• In-depth understanding of YouTube, social media platforms, and newsletter distribution.
• High proficiency in Airtable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Proficient in Google Suite, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms.
• Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms, such as social media scheduling applications, email marketing services, and analytics software.
• Experience with marketing in a mission-driven organization.
• Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to analyze and act on social media metrics as well as sales and revenue data.
• Candidates must either reside in or be willing to relocate to states including AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, MA, MI, MO, MT, NM, NY, NC, OK, OR, PA, TN, UT, VA, or WA.
• May be required to travel to the Complexly office for marketing-related projects.
