Marketing Expert – Organic Growth, AI Agent Environments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create task briefs grounded in authentic organic-growth operations, detailing the identified issue, the objectives of the task, and the decisions a competent practitioner should arrive at.

• Identify necessary documents, dashboards, personas, and tool states to facilitate realistic task environments.

• Draft or assess reference answers and criteria that differentiate strong responses from plausible but incorrect ones.

• Evaluate attempts made by AI agents against an expert standard.

• Identify issues arising from disorganized or conflicting data.

• Prioritize tasks and make necessary tradeoffs.

• Plan and implement tasks effectively.

• Conduct quality assurance and reconciliation processes.

• Manage triage and escalation tasks.

• Engage in research and evaluation activities.

• Present findings in a clear manner.

• Coordinate multi-step tasks across various tools.

• Work on organic-growth subjects such as search and answer-engine visibility, content-driven acquisition, technical and on-page analysis, keyword and topic prioritization, web and pricing journey optimization, and organic-traffic funnel assessment.

• Contribute to the training and improvement of AI systems through projects at Mercor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience as a practitioner in organic growth or SEO/AEO; must have directly engaged in this work rather than solely managing others.

• Proficient in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Semrush or Ahrefs, and a CMS such as Contentful.

• Prior experience in developing AI training environments, reinforcement learning environments, or simulated case studies is highly preferred.

• Certification from Rubric Academy or Rubric Bootcamp is strongly favored.

• Ability to articulate clear written reasoning and explain the rationale behind decisions.

• Completion of a brief multiple-choice knowledge assessment specific to the sub-domain.

• Must operate as an independent contractor.

• Mercor is currently unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.
