This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the strategic vision and direction for Good Roots’ marketing function; outline service offerings, standards, and the methods by which the team delivers value to clients.
• Manage, mentor, and cultivate the Marketing Consultant(s); set performance objectives, conduct evaluations, support professional development, and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Continuously adapt the marketing service offerings in response to client requirements, industry trends, and team capacity; set and maintain quality standards for deliverables, brand initiatives, campaign execution, and client communication.
• Supervise all marketing projects; guarantee consistency, quality, and impact across every engagement, project, and initiative.
• Lead high-stakes strategic interactions with clients—diagnosing business challenges, framing marketing implications, designing roadmaps, and guiding executives and owners through critical decisions.
• Collaborate with Client Relations; scope new client engagements, agree on pricing and effort levels, design project plans, and oversee onboarding to ensure successful engagement setup.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new marketing team members as the practice expands; forecast capacity and align team structure with client demand.
• Manage the budget for the marketing practice area; track utilization, profitability, and growth metrics, and report findings to firm leadership.
• Collaborate with Good Roots’ leadership and other practice area directors on shared clients, integrated service offerings, and overall firm strategy.
• Serve as the external representative of Good Roots as the voice of the marketing practice through conferences, partnerships, written content, and community engagement.
• Demonstrated senior-level proficiency in marketing and management: Principles, theory, and practical application across all essential competency areas—strategy, brand, content, digital, demand generation, and analytics.
• At least five years of progressive marketing experience, including a minimum of three years in a leadership or team management capacity.
• Technologically adept: Highly skilled in Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, and project management software.
• Extensive knowledge of marketing platforms across automation/CRM (HubSpot, Mailchimp), analytics, CMS, paid media, SEO, and design tools.
• Process Improvement: Create and maintain written procedures, training, and resources that capture the approach and processes for executing marketing services.
• Analytical: Unwaveringly committed to analyzing clients’ marketing data, determining appropriate actions collaboratively with team members, and educating clients on improved processes suitable for their understanding level.
• Project Management: Efficiently and decisively manage a diverse array of client projects, team needs, and competing priorities.
• Project Design: Adept at aligning services with clients’ needs and skills while facilitating their continuous improvement and empowerment.
• Consultative Strategist: Highly skilled at leading executive-level strategic discussions—framing business challenges through a marketing perspective, designing roadmaps, navigating uncertainty, and influencing decisions across complex client organizations.
• Management Functions: Proficient in all core management areas, including planning, organizing, staffing, accountability, and leadership.
• Emotionally Intelligent: Exemplary competencies in self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.
