This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as an intermediary relationship specialist within a professional fundraising setting, concentrating on the cultivation and stewardship of mid-level donors and constituents.
• Foster growth across various product lines and meet individual revenue targets.
• Tailor fundraising and cultivation initiatives and campaigns to generate revenue, boost retention, identify potential donors, and secure commitments or sponsorships.
• Inform small groups of current and prospective donors about Compassion’s Christian child development ministry.
• Establish and nurture relationships with constituents through personal visits, phone calls, proposals, presentations, and written correspondence.
• Develop fundraising forecasts, relationship strategies, and timelines for constituents and qualified prospects.
• Prepare fundraising and stewardship reports for both internal and constituent use.
• Engage in Compassion tours, project visits, meetings, and special events, including opportunities for constituent participation when appropriate.
• Deliver speeches advocating for Compassion or addressing the needs of children.
• Mentor and offer expertise to other relationship managers as deemed appropriate.
• Adhere to Compassion’s child protection standards, Code of Conduct, Cultural Behaviors, and ministry mission.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Between one to five years of experience in relationship management, fundraising, sales, customer service, or account management.
• Proven track record of meeting goals and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Fundraising experience is preferred; however, transferable relationship-based experience will be considered.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills across phone, video, and written formats.
• Ability to quickly establish trust and personalize interactions with donors.
• Capability to initiate and facilitate discussions on charitable giving and encourage deeper engagement.
• Proficient in managing constituent relationships strategically, including engagement plans and consistent follow-up across various channels.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and stewardship standards.
• Demonstrated emotional maturity, resilience, a positive attitude, and a service-oriented mindset.
• Personal alignment with Compassion’s Christian faith and ministry mission, including a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Commitment to Compassion’s Cultural Behaviors and child-protection standards.
• Capability to manage a portfolio of customers, donors, clients, or strategic accounts with performance or revenue goals.
• Experience in presenting to individuals or small groups, facilitating donor experiences, or representing an organization at events.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, donor databases, fundraising reports, or relationship-management tools.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the normal schedule.
