Marketing Data Analyst, Member Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete process of extracting and compiling member lists from various internal data sources — including eligibility systems, pharmacy data, client records, and more — for utilization across email, SMS, and print communications. Your main workspace is Snowflake, where you will query the data models maintained by our Data Engineering and Analytics teams.

• Establish and uphold data quality standards for all member lists prior to entering the delivery pipeline. Develop and sustain automated checks that identify anomalies — such as duplicate records, missing fields, invalid formats, and eligibility mismatches — before any message is sent out.

• Manage Protected Health Information with the required diligence and care. Oversee suppression list logic to ensure that members who have opted out, are ineligible, or fall under regulatory exclusions are accurately represented across all lists at all times. Treat opt-out, preference, and PHI data as the highest priority within the pipeline.

• Collaborate closely with the Marketing Operations Manager to guarantee that lists are formatted, mapped, and structured precisely to the schema required by communication platforms. Maintain an active relationship with the centralized Data team — contributing to shared data models and quality standards, remaining aligned on upstream changes, and advocating for member communications data needs at the infrastructure level.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in data analytics, data operations, or a closely related field.

• Proven experience working with Protected Health Information (PHI) and a solid understanding of HIPAA requirements pertaining to data handling — this is essential, not optional.

• Strong proficiency in SQL within Snowflake — capable of writing complex queries, joining data from multiple sources, and transforming raw data into clean, validated outputs.

• A detail-oriented approach to data — you have experience in building validation logic, reconciling data across systems, and prioritizing data integrity as non-negotiable.

• Familiarity with concepts related to member or customer data, such as suppression lists, opt-out and preference management, eligibility logic, and regulated data handling.

• Experience working within a shared data infrastructure (e.g., contributing to or utilizing dbt models, collaborating with Data Engineering or Analytics teams) is strongly preferred.

• Excellent cross-functional communication skills — you can clearly convey data findings and quality issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in the healthcare or PBM industry is strongly preferred.
