Marketing Assistant – Independent Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the Wattpad Books and W by Wattpad Books social media platforms by collaborating with the Marketing team on content strategy and scheduling.

• Develop engaging written, graphic, and video content that fosters audience engagement and enhances audience visibility.

• Serve as the representative for our social media accounts in video content as required.

• Analyze audience data, demographics, and the effectiveness of ongoing social media campaigns, providing insightful reports.

• Suggest innovative ideas and concepts for social media content.

• Collaborate with the team to enhance the WWBG Influencer program and draft content for our quarterly newsletter.

• Create sales materials as necessary, including sell sheets and simple pitch decks.

• Provide assistance with Publicity tasks, such as writing press releases and submitting trade reviews, as needed.

• A reader who can articulate insights about what you've read and identify who else would be interested in those books and why.

• A strong enthusiasm for social media and discovering creative ways to leverage the platform to promote books and authors.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

• Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational abilities, along with a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient copywriting skills paired with intermediate design capabilities (experience with tools like Photoshop and Canva is considered a plus).

• Willingness to appear on camera and engage face-to-face (creating TikToks/Reels and moderating live sessions with our authors).
