Market Revenue Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute the strategies and processes necessary for participating in wholesale electricity markets, as well as state and utility-led programs. Leap’s current and anticipated market focus is primarily on CAISO, with some limited requirements in NYISO, ERCOT, MISO, and PJM. Experience in any market is welcomed and appreciated.

• Develop and oversee financial revenue models specific to your markets/programs; prepare monthly accruals, forecasts, and reconciliations to actuals; and collaborate on monthly partner payment processes.

• Interact with external stakeholders, including state regulators, program administrators, and Leap’s clientele.

• Leveraging your expertise and involvement in the aforementioned areas, create short and mid-term market strategies that support Leap in expanding its customer base and increasing revenue in your respective markets/programs.

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Leap’s internal teams to meet growth and revenue objectives for both your markets and the company overall.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 2+ years of experience in wholesale energy markets, energy economics, energy trading, or energy management.

• Familiarity with the California ISO and California state agencies (CEC/CPUC) is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Have knowledge of recent trends in Demand Response and Distributed Energy Resources and programs.

• Detail-oriented with robust analytical, data, and financial modeling abilities.

• Passionate about optimizing market strategies, enhancing operations, and streamlining complex workflows.

• Hands-on and eager to take ownership of intricate work processes.

• Experience working in remote or hybrid settings across time zones, showcasing the ability to excel in distributed teams through asynchronous communication, effective time management, independent work, and consistent productivity and engagement.

• Hold a degree in business/finance, energy economics, engineering, or a related discipline.
