This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Conduct market analysis
• Assess applications within the healthcare sector (such as biopharma, laboratory vacuum, hospital/medical gases) and in plastics recycling to uncover growth opportunities.
• Evaluate industries for their resilience, regulatory trends, and alignment with sustainability goals.
• Track competitors and identify product gaps to inform sales and portfolio strategy.
• Establish market segmentation and value propositions.
• Assist sales teams in managing key accounts through performance evaluations and innovation planning.
• Provide insights into applications and markets to influence customer strategies.
• Lead efforts to acquire new strategic customers and create compelling business cases.
• Advise portfolio leaders on trends, applications, and competitor positioning.
• Support the development of new products and the preparation of business cases.
• Align pricing and value strategies with sales and product teams.
• Deliver targeted training and technical support to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Bridge capability gaps through tools, coaching, and customized materials.
• Collaborate with marketing on messaging, campaigns, and promotional materials.
• Enhance brand presence through trade shows, digital content, and industry-specific initiatives.
• Create and update training materials focused on health and plastics recycling topics.
• Serve as a subject-matter and market expert for internal stakeholders, customers, and external audiences (including conference presentations, webinars, and customer events).
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related technical/commercial field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in market development, product management, or technical sales—preferably in industrial applications such as vacuum technology, compressors, or sustainable technologies.
• Demonstrated success in managing strategic customers, identifying market opportunities, and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, plastics recycling, or related sustainability-focused industries is highly advantageous.
• Required international business experience and strong proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a benefit.
• Travel: this role necessitates over 50% travel within Europe.
