• Silvus is on the lookout for a Market Development Executive for the U.S. Air Force & Space Force, who will report directly to the Vice President of Strategic Growth within the Sales team.
• The ideal candidate in this position will act as Silvus' senior leader in market development across the air and space sectors.
• This role entails influencing capability requirements, reinforcing advocacy in significant modernization and advanced battle management initiatives, and fostering long-term strategic relationships within AFLCMC, Space Systems Command, operational wings, and mission partners.
• This role is not focused on transactional sales; rather, it is a strategic influence position that aims to shape demand, position Silvus Technologies at the forefront of emerging programs, and ensure smooth transitions to Business Development and Capture teams for subsequent execution.
• This role offers the possibility of 100% remote work based on location, with a preference for candidates located near key USAF commands.
• Travel requirements of up to 50% may be necessary to sustain robust customer engagement and relationships.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense sector.
• Previous service in the U.S. Air Force or Space Force, or senior leadership experience in relevant mission areas such as C5ISR, airborne communications, space systems, or autonomous platforms.
• A well-established, verifiable network within critical USAF/USSF organizations (e.g., AFLCMC Directorates, Space Systems Command, AFSOC, test units, and operational wings).
• In-depth knowledge of the USAF/USSF mission framework, budgeting, and governance procedures.
• Proven ability to influence acquisition and capability development in a DoD context.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills at the executive level.
• A strategic thinker capable of independently spearheading long-term campaign planning.
• Security Clearance: An active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of employment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to client requirements under U.S. government contracts.
