This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Analyze market data according to the specifications provided by customers, Product Management, and other stakeholders, while collaborating with market data vendors to ensure the data adheres to our standards for coverage and quality.
• Create Jupyter notebooks to prototype data onboarding processes, encompassing loading data from vendor APIs or databases, field mapping, and data transformation for storage in Snowflake.
• Establish and execute data validation protocols to uphold data integrity throughout the onboarding process.
• Utilize AI-driven tools where applicable to streamline data analysis, detect anomalies, summarize complex datasets, and enhance the efficiency of market data onboarding and validation workflows.
• Lead client engagements to identify challenges related to market data and work together with Product Management, Development teams, and Financial Engineers to design and implement data solutions that align with product capabilities and client requirements.
• Address customer inquiries regarding product specifics and offer guidance on market data configurations tailored to client environments.
• Conduct internal demonstrations on best practices for utilizing the product via UIs, APIs, and SDKs, thereby improving the team's comprehension of product functionalities.
• Support the PreSales team by analyzing customer needs for new opportunities, delivering precise and relevant responses, documentation, and market data artifacts to assist the sales process.
• Provide insights into the appropriateness of Numerix’s data offerings for prospective clients, addressing particular market data needs and illustrating how Numerix fulfills these requirements.
• Employ statistical techniques to evaluate large datasets, producing actionable insights and recommendations to improve data quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Financial Engineering teams to propose roadmap enhancements focused on data accuracy, coverage, and reliability.
• Actively engage in the Product software development lifecycle (SDLC), participating in scrums and contributing to discussions with Product Managers, Financial Engineers, Software Developers, Project Managers, and Business Analysts.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure that market data solutions are effectively implemented, meet high standards, and align with both product and client goals.
• Develop and validate Python test cases alongside Financial Engineers and Developers to ensure robustness and accuracy in data solutions.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Econometrics, Financial Engineering, Finance, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline).
• 3+ years of experience in a market data role within a financial institution, market data vendor, or fintech environment, with a focus on data analysis and integration.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis, especially using Jupyter notebooks.
• Practical experience with market data vendors and APIs (e.g., Refinitiv), along with familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools to improve data analysis, research, documentation, workflow automation, or quality assurance is a plus.
• Strong understanding of market data attributes, quote meanings, and the complexities of various asset classes.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to seeing solutions through to completion.
