Marine Technical Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver round-the-clock global marine vetting and technical assistance.

• Oversee and manage a specialized marine database on a daily basis.

• Maintain ongoing communication with worldwide Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

• Organize vessel surveys to fulfill vetting criteria.

• Conduct various assessments, including Initial DP, Annual DP, DP FMEA & Proving Trials, Class Surveys, eCMID, OVIQ, ERRV Surveys, and Structural Integrity evaluations.

• Review protocols, DP Operation Manuals, DP FMEA’s, CAMO & ASOG’s, and Checklists.

• Issue vessel certificates that correspond with vetting requests.

• Ensure that vessel vetting processes are effectively managed and remain current.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Currently possesses or has previously held a Marine, Engineering, or ETO Certificate of Competency.

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience on DP vessels or relevant DP technical experience as a DP Consultant, Superintendent, or equivalent role.

• Skills:

• - Familiarity with industry standards set by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and Classification Societies.

• - Knowledge of industry organizations such as the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF), and Marine Technology Society (MTS).

• - Proficient in conducting and reviewing marine inspections for marine vessels.
