Manufacturing Engineer III, Airfoil Programming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee CNC turning and milling production activities, delivering technical guidance and support for intricate setups, programming techniques, and process enhancements.

• Take charge of the creation, validation, and ongoing improvement of manufacturing process plans.

• Generate, assess, and refine CNC programs to enhance quality, reduce cycle times, and minimize costs.

• Act as the primary manufacturing engineering contact for customer communications.

• Lead the design, sourcing, and implementation of tooling efforts.

• Propel process improvement initiatives aimed at elevating first-pass yield, throughput, and equipment availability.

• Provide senior-level technical advice and informal mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

• Ensure that manufacturing documentation remains accurate, standardized, and up to date.

• Assist in maintaining compliance with Pursuit Aerospace quality systems, safety regulations, and industry standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering, or 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Capability to perform work that is subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

• Preferred experience of 3 years in airfoil and single blade milling.

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.

• Experience in CNC milling and turning or precision machining is essential.

• Expertise in CNC programming, tooling design, and advanced manufacturing processes.

• Proficient in PFMEA, Control Planning, and measurement system analysis (MSA).

• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles; Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
