Manual Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Create and implement comprehensive manual test plans and test cases for the SIMBA Team, ensuring extensive functional coverage across key user flows and edge scenarios.

• Conduct hands-on manual testing across various browsers and devices to validate new features, bug resolutions, and software releases.

• Work closely with engineers and product teams to identify, replicate, isolate, and document defects, providing detailed steps, expected versus actual outcomes, and supporting evidence.

• Maintain organized and clear QA documentation, including test cases, regression test suites, test reports, and release validation summaries.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to ensure that issues are accurately triaged and prioritized based on user impact.

• Engage in Agile workflows, including daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring QA is integrated throughout the development process.

• Perform regression testing and release validation to guarantee product quality and stability before launch.

• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance manual QA processes, test coverage, and inter-team communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in manual QA testing, with a strong emphasis on Web applications.

• Solid understanding of QA principles including test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing, and bug reporting.

• Experience in Agile environments and working collaboratively with engineering and product teams.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to isolate root causes and communicate issues effectively.

• Strong written communication skills, particularly in documenting defects and test results.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Linear, or similar bug tracking and project management systems.

• Experience utilizing browser developer tools to assist with debugging and issue reproduction.
