Managing Director, US Market Access

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Drive and secure business with a personal sales target of $2M annually.

• Define project scopes for clients, build a cross-functional team, and supervise the team from project initiation to client delivery.

• Manage a client portfolio to guarantee that all of Avalere Health’s knowledge and expertise are accessible to fulfill client requirements.

• Act as a subject matter expert on reimbursement, market access, and commercialization issues affecting the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, diagnostic, payer, and provider sectors.

• Develop strategic and tactical recommendations for clients to ensure optimal market access for their products.

• Independently address complex client issues promptly and effectively, with assistance from junior team members.

• Actively pursue and secure speaking opportunities with clients and thought leaders to enhance Avalere Health's public recognition and generate new business and revenue.

• Collaborate with other Advisory teams as well as various Avalere Health business units.

• Mentor, oversee, and train team members throughout the Advisory business.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of pertinent experience in healthcare, life sciences, or related industries.

• 6+ years of experience in market access, reimbursement, and/or commercialization.

• 2+ years of consulting experience with a focus on business development and accountability.

• 5+ years of management/supervisory experience demonstrating strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

• Strong writing and storytelling capabilities to support effective business communication.

• Ability to establish personal credibility as a strategic and reimbursement expert with clients.

• Extensive and sustained experience in project leadership and executive sponsorship.

• Proven situational leadership abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Strong communication skills.

• Experience working collaboratively with policy colleagues.
