This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and lead AIOA's Professional Services Practice as an independent business unit, complete with its own P&L, team of CFOs, and client portfolio.
• Manage client portfolio outcomes at the practice level, focusing on retention, satisfaction, NPS, and opportunities for expansion.
• Act as the escalation point for complex or at-risk client scenarios.
• Establish quality standards for financial advisory services, including utilization analysis, revenue recognition, billing efficiency, and cash flow management.
• Promote service expansion within the existing client base.
• Define the ideal client profile in collaboration with the Business Development team.
• Close professional services opportunities identified by Business Development.
• Provide workbook analysis and facilitate Value Workshops.
• Build strategic partnerships with attorneys, bankers, and networks within the professional services sector.
• Recruit, develop, retain, and manage capacity for the practice team.
• Hold CFOs accountable for client outcomes, team health metrics, and adherence to EOS commitments.
• Create career paths and development plans for various roles within the practice.
• Cultivate the practice's core values and collaborate with Talent on hiring decisions.
• Manage revenue, cost efficiency, profitability, budgeting, and the complete practice P&L.
• Formulate and implement the annual practice plan.
• Report on practice performance to the EVP, Operations through Scorecard, Rocks, and L10 meetings.
• Drive process enhancements and best practices throughout the firm.
• Enhance AIOA's external reputation via industry events, publications, and referral partnerships.
• Monitor service-driven business models, billing trends, partner economics, pricing strategies, and M&A activities.
• Advocate for technology standards and support the introduction of new service lines or delivery methods.
• Fulfill internal responsibilities, training, to-dos, and quarterly Rocks.
• Engage in the Brand Ambassador program.
• Maintain security protocols to protect client assets and firm data.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 12–15+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership within professional service businesses.
• Demonstrated success in leading, managing, and holding teams accountable for outcomes.
• Profound knowledge of service-based business models, utilization and realization metrics, billing structures, and revenue recognition.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios and achieving practice-level business results.
• Established presence or network within the professional services industry, with the credibility to represent AIOA externally.
• Exceptional executive-level communication skills with business owners, partners, and external advisors.
• Experience in a multi-client or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment is highly preferred.
• Strongly preferred experience in P&L ownership or business unit management.
• Familiarity with EOS is preferred.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
