This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Design and implement annual and multi-year strategies for business development in the POS Lending and Card Personalization sectors.
• Recognize emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive risks.
• Set growth priorities, define target markets, and devise client acquisition strategies.
• Lead strategic planning efforts and create measurable performance metrics.
• Take ownership of acquiring new clients, developing pipelines, penetrating markets, and generating revenue across both business segments.
• Drive market expansion efforts to secure contractors, dealers, distributors, and affinity organizations for home improvement financing.
• Establish new relationships with issuers, fintech companies, program managers, and corporate entities for Card Personalization.
• Identify and chase complex, high-value opportunities.
• Lead and mentor business development teams in sourcing, qualifying, negotiating, and closing new deals.
• Create sales processes, standards for client acquisition, and performance expectations.
• Monitor pipeline health, predict business performance, and address any performance shortfalls.
• Cultivate executive-level relationships with potential clients, strategic partners, industry influencers, and stakeholders.
• Represent FNBO with external organizations and industry groups.
• Lead negotiations for significant, complex, and strategically important client opportunities.
• Collaborate with legal, credit, operations, technology, risk, finance, marketing, and product teams to onboard and support clients.
• Ensure long-term client satisfaction and retention.
• Develop and manage operational plans that support business growth goals.
• Allocate financial and human resources across business development functions.
• Assess growth opportunities using financial, operational, and market analyses.
• Ensure activities are compliant with risk, compliance, and governance standards.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and influence decisions regarding business strategy, capacity planning, product development, and client experience.
• Lead the resolution of complex business challenges.
• Represent business development priorities in executive discussions and strategic planning forums.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• An MBA is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or financial services.
• A minimum of 5 years in senior leadership positions.
• Proven experience in building, developing, and leading large, distributed, high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated experience in launching and scaling new business opportunities.
• Strong background in establishing and managing strategic partnerships.
• Experience in managing revenue targets or P&L responsibilities.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Frequent travel is required.
