Managing Director, Complex Accounting – Litigation, Insurance Solvency Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members in client projects and business growth initiatives.

• Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture that prioritizes quality, innovation, and exceptional client service.

• Capable of overseeing and executing projects across various disciplines including complex investigations, regulatory inquiries, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services.

• Direct the creation of client deliverables such as reports, presentations, data visualizations, and testimonies.

• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring outstanding service delivery and strategic insights.

• Enhance your portfolio of business and contribute to the expansion of the Complex Accounting & Litigation practice.

• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders.

• Establish and maintain relationships with law firms, regulators, financial institutions, and corporate clients.

• Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in areas such as auditing, CFO roles, regulatory or standard setting, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services.

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent qualification.

• Demonstrated experience with a focus on delivering high-quality client services and the ability to work within and lead a team.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights.

• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

• Proven track record in business development and managing client relationships.

• Extensive experience in the financial services and insurance sectors.

• Previous audit experience is required.

• Additional relevant certifications such as CFE, CFF, and others are a plus.
