Managing Director, Complex Accounting – Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members in client engagements and business development.

• Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, innovation, and client service.

• Support internal knowledge sharing, training, and professional development initiatives.

• Oversee and execute projects across various disciplines, including complex investigations related to regulatory inquiries, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services.

• Direct the creation of client deliverables such as reports, presentations, data visualizations, and testimony.

• Act as a senior contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic guidance.

• Grow your book of business and contribute to the expansion of the Complex Accounting & Litigation practice.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement go-to-market strategies.

• Establish and nurture relationships with law firms, regulators, financial institutions, and corporate clients.

• Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of relevant experience in areas such as auditing, CFO roles, regulatory or standard setting, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services.

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent qualification.

• Demonstrated experience focusing on delivering high-quality client services, along with the ability to work collaboratively and manage a team.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
