Managing Director, AI & Data Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a long-term AI & Data platforms strategy and roadmap that aligns with EP’s business objectives, operational framework, and regulatory requirements.

• Create and oversee a flexible and effective governance framework for AI and data, including standards, patterns, prioritization processes, exception management, and measurable value assessment.

• Collaborate with Product and Business teams to convert platform investments into tangible business results.

• Take ownership of the enterprise data platform's operating model, encompassing architecture, engineering standards, scalability, reliability, and cost management.

• Drive the transition from traditional “pipelines and reporting” to innovative data products.

• Act as the main technology liaison to Salesforce for agentic and data integration efforts.

• Develop EP’s “AI platform” capabilities to facilitate scalable AI usability.

• Collaborate with Cyber/InfoSec and Legal/Compliance teams to enforce data protection measures and AI safeguards.

• Create repeatable operational procedures for AI solutions.

• Lead and guide a high-performing AI & data team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in data platforms, engineering, and/or analytics, with leadership roles in enterprise-scale delivery.

• Proven experience in constructing and managing cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake or similar), including data modeling, governance, security, and cost management.

• Hands-on experience enabling enterprise AI tools and developing reusable methodologies (prompting, retrieval, integrations, evaluation, and adoption).

• Exceptional ability to influence executive-level decision-making and articulate technical trade-offs in business terms.

• Background in wealth management, RIA/financial services, or other similarly regulated sectors.

• Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystems (Financial Services Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce) and integrating enterprise data into CRM workflows.

• Knowledge of contemporary governance tools (catalog, lineage, policy, quality) and practical approaches to “governance that enables delivery.”

• Experience with M&A integration, platform standardization, and modernization in dynamic growth settings.

• An advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a data/AI-related field is advantageous.
