This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the design and implementation of contemporary healthcare data platforms that facilitate reliable analytics and advanced analytical use cases.
• Convert business and analytical requirements into actionable architecture designs in collaboration with engineers, analysts, and data scientists.
• Create and deliver modern healthcare data architectures (such as data lakes, lakehouses, and cloud data warehouses) to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML applications.
• Develop data models that support clinical, claims, operational, and financial analyses.
• Operate within Azure and AWS environments to construct pipelines, data flows, data lakes, and data lakehouses.
• Oversee the design and execution of data ingestion and transformation pipelines, including batch and near-real-time integrations from EHRs, claims systems, and third-party sources.
• Collaborate with analytics engineers and data scientists to ensure platforms accommodate advanced analytics and machine learning processes.
• Promote the adoption of scalable, repeatable delivery methodologies (such as curated datasets, shared metrics layers, and standardized pipelines).
• Spearhead the implementation of data governance capabilities, which include metadata, lineage, classification, and access controls.
• Set and supervise data quality and certification strategies to ensure datasets are reliable and reusable.
• Confirm that solutions adhere to healthcare privacy and compliance standards, including HIPAA-aligned practices and auditability.
• Facilitate client workshops to gather requirements, review designs, and convey technical concepts effectively.
• Create client-facing materials, such as architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with a range of stakeholders across clinical, operational, and technical domains.
• Assist in proposal development and business development initiatives (solutioning, estimating, content creation, and reusable assets).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a relevant field.
• 7-10 years of experience in data, analytics, or solution architecture roles, including work in healthcare settings (payer, provider, life sciences, or health associations).
• Proven experience leading technical delivery for data architecture or analytics projects in the healthcare sector.
• Strong practical knowledge of: Data architecture patterns (lakehouse/warehouse), data modeling, and data product design.
• Proficiency in SQL and data transformation methods (ETL/ELT).
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and cloud data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake or equivalent).
• Ability to translate client goals into clear, actionable technical strategies.
• Experience leading workstreams and mentoring team members in a consulting environment.
