This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee a team of Claim Specialists responsible for managing claims.
• Analyze claims trends and provide reports on noted patterns to department leadership.
• Ensure that claims processing adheres to Crum & Forster’s established best practices.
• Collaborate with various departments to address the financial impacts of claims.
• Offer technical assistance to the claims specialists.
• Evaluate legal judgments and maintain an effective claims workforce.
• Identify coverage-related issues and authorize case reserve recommendations.
• Recruit and mentor team members, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
• Engage with clients to discuss claims capabilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is necessary.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience, ideally in a WC Claims Supervisory and/or Management role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Lotus Notes software applications is required.
• Some travel may be necessary.
