Manager – Web Development, UI/UX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversees the establishment and continuous management of a new cross-functional team comprising web developers and UI/UX designers.

• Manages the daily client relationship, facilitating meetings and governance processes.

• Converts client needs into clear timelines, deliverables, and actionable tasks.

• Defines technical directions for frontend engineering while ensuring high-quality UI/UX results.

• Offers coaching, performance management, and support for career development.

• Acts as the main contact for the client regarding delivery and daily coordination.

• Monitors progress, addresses risks and issues, and leads discussions on changes and scope.

• Guarantees compliance with accessibility and usability best practices.

• Encourages the sensible adoption of contemporary tools, frameworks, and design systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 6 years of experience in front-end development and/or UI/UX design.

• Proven experience in leading projects or mentoring developers, prepared to transition into a formal people- and delivery-management position.

• Extensive hands-on experience with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

• Strong grasp of responsive and accessible design implementation.

• Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) sufficient to evaluate and guide design efforts.

• Working knowledge of design systems and usability principles.

• Proficient with Git and contemporary development workflows.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, capable of running meetings and managing expectations.

• Ability to organize work into distinct timelines, deliverables, and actionable tasks.

• Capacity to balance technical, design, and business factors.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to lead and empower a cross-functional team.
