This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Lead and oversee standalone energy storage interconnection initiatives within the ERCOT and SPP markets.
• Manage the preparation, submission, and execution of interconnection stages for ERCOT and the SPP DISIS processes.
• Coordinate with consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality interconnection outputs.
• Assist with greenfield project siting and conduct transmission due diligence activities.
• Review and evaluate interconnection study findings and technical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to relevant grid codes, interconnection standards, and transmission planning criteria.
• Mentor junior team members and facilitate day-to-day operations of the team.
• Aid in interconnection due diligence for project acquisitions.
• Collaborate closely with EPC, Engineering, Development, and Project Management teams to ensure the successful execution of late-stage projects.
• Work in partnership with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, consultants, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; a master’s in power systems is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience (7 years for a senior manager) in collaboration with utilities, system operators, energy consulting firms, or independent power producers.
• In-depth knowledge of the ERCOT and/or SPP grids, the interconnection process, stakeholders, and regulations.
• Familiarity with the interconnection processes in CAISO, WECC, MISO, or PJM is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple projects at once in a dynamic environment.
