This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of the bank’s comprehensive third-party risk management program, which includes risk-tiered due diligence, onboarding risk evaluations, continuous monitoring, and offboarding processes across all vendor tiers.

• Lead and nurture the Third-Party Risk Management team by establishing priorities, offering coaching, and guaranteeing consistent, high-quality risk evaluations and oversight activities.

• Act as the primary escalation point for complex or elevated third-party risk issues, delivering risk-based recommendations and ensuring that concerns are properly documented, tracked, and addressed.

• Maintain and improve third-party risk management frameworks, risk tiering methodologies, assessment templates, and governance processes to support a scalable, risk-based program.

• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Affiliate Risk, and business stakeholders to ensure uniform application of third-party risk standards throughout the vendor lifecycle.

• Lead efforts for regulatory examination preparedness and assist with inquiries from the OCC, FDIC, internal audits, and external audits related to third-party risk management.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 6+ years of experience in third-party risk management, compliance, audit, operational risk, or a similar risk discipline within the banking or financial services sector.

• Proven experience in leading a third-party risk management program, encompassing risk evaluations, due diligence reviews, ongoing monitoring, and issue management across a multi-vendor portfolio.

• Familiarity with OCC, FDIC, and interagency guidance pertaining to third-party relationships and risk management, including the 2023 Interagency Guidance on Third-Party Relationships: Risk Management.

• Experience in assessing and managing risks related to various types of third-party relationships, including suppliers, lending partners, affiliates, and technology service providers.
